Yoto announces launch of Yoto Mini

Published on: 23rd November 2021

Providing many of the same features as the Yoto Player in a smaller handheld device, the Yoto Mini lets kids enjoy their favourite audio on the move.

Yoto, the audio platform for kids behind the critically acclaimed and award-winning Yoto Player, has announced the launch of Yoto Mini, its latest connected speaker for children.

“Yoto Mini is the culmination of many years of research and experience and provides the ultimate portable audio experience for children,” said Ben Drury, CEO and co-founder of Yoto.

The petite and portable Yoto Mini lets kids listen without limits, giving them the freedom to safely enjoy their favourite audio on the move. Yoto Mini, like its older sibling the Yoto Player, is controlled using physical Yoto Cards, and provides many of the same features in a much smaller handheld device. The compact size and all-day battery life of Yoto Mini makes it perfect for long car journeys, flights and family days out, providing children access to stories, music, podcasts, learning and more on the go.

Ben added: “We’ve worked closely with the Yotocommunity to develop this product for the needs of the modern, screen-conscious family and we can’t wait to get this into the hands of children across the world.”

Yoto Mini is packed with features such as high-quality audio, child-friendly tactile controls, pixel display with sleep training features, USB-C fast charging, 20hr+ battery life, Bluetooth, WiFi and 16Gb storage.

The Yoto Card Store is packed with the best kids audio from across the world, from stories to music, educational activities, mindfulness, sound effects and podcasts, offering something for everyone.

The player also comes with a wide variety of built-in and free content including the Yoto Daily podcast, Yoto Radio and Sleep Sounds, which help children relax and fall asleep. The travel-friendly player will be available with a range of accessories starting with the protective and colourful Adventure Jacket case. A unique travel case with space for headphones will follow in early 2022.

Yoto recently joined forces with WHSmith as its first major retail partner, and from the 1st – 24th December will also be hosting a pop-up store in Islington Square where children and their parents can get hands on the brand new Yoto Mini and the award winning original Yoto Player. The store will also be host to a range of activities and events during its duration, for further information visit
