The event is taking place in Santa Cruz, Tenerife.
Between the 4th and 7th May, young people from 40 different countries have gathered to widen their knowledge on science and technology while having fun at one of Europe’s favourite family-friendly destinations.
The First Lego League is an international event aimed at promoting science and technology to youngsters from 6 to 16 years old. As well as gaining knowledge of these subjects, kids and teenagers also have the opportunity to learn about creativity, innovation, teamwork, values and problem-solving during the four-day educational extravaganza. They will also meet and mingle with fellow children coming from countries such as China, Brazil, US, Peru and South Africa, amongst others.
The event is being held at Tenerife’s International Trade Fair and Conference Centre.
The First Lego League Open European Championship is hosted by the Tenerife Island Government, Scientia Foundation, Tenerife Science and Technology Park and the TF Innova programme.
