Zodiak Kids launches multi-brand YouTube channels

Published on: 28th April 2015

Zodiak Kids has announced the launch of two multi-brand YouTube Channels, ZeeKay and ZeeKay Junior.

ZeeKay Junior, coming to the platform with an already established base of 100,000 subscribers from existing ZodiakZeeKay-junior-wordpress Kids content on YouTube,  will feature new pre-school content as well as key brands including Mister Maker, Waybuloo, Zack & Quack, and support new online pilots.

ZeeKay will champion popular owned kids’ brands such as Totally Spies, Team Galaxy, Martin Mystery and LoliRock, whilst also serving as a hub for all newly commissioned (tween) content, such as CITV’s Scrambled! which features bespoke YouTube formats on the platform.

The new channels will also work closely with  Zodiak Kids Studios and third party producers on creating original content for the platform in order to accumulate subscriber growth and a global audience base. The channels have a strong existing fan base to build upon as the Zodiak Kids catalogue has earned over 1.6 billion views on YouTube to date and provides children’s content in all 256 territories.

The channels will be managed by Natalie Walmsley, digital channel manager, Zodiak Kids.

She said: “The timing of our launch coincides with the new YouTube Kids App and we are actively passionate about harnessing Zodiak’s ever growing fanbase online. We recognise the need for on demand and readily accessible content that younger audiences are already accustomed to and that provides a safe and age-appropriate environment for parents to let their children discover. These channels will also be syndicated to other online platforms as a result, and are the perfect spaces to pilot new content and acquire real time analytical data to back new commissions directly from online audience reactions.”
