How big a success has Lego Dreamzzz been for the company since it launched a year ago – has the IP performed the way you hoped it would?

We are so proud of the Lego Dreamzzz franchise, and we’ve been impressed by the initial reaction to the new content and products. We’ve inspired thousands of kids across the world to unleash their imaginations and harness the power of dreams like never before. I’m so excited to see what else is in store for the Lego Dreamzzz theme.

How does season two build upon the world of Lego Dreamzzz?

Without giving away too much, Lego Dreamzzz Season 2 builds upon the Dream World through the introduction of a new villain – the Never Witch. She is causing chaos in the dream world, trying to steal memories and making evil doppelgangers. In the new content, we see our heroes rallying together to help protect the dream world, using creativity and discovery to help fight off the Never Witch.

Are any elements of Season 2 based upon fan feedback following the release of season one?

Of course, we are always listening to our fans and trying to incorporate their feedback as much as possible. This is an ongoing process, so we will always try our best to use their opinions when developing new characters, worlds and products for Lego Dreamzzz.

Why do kids engage so much with the Lego Dreamzzz characters?

When we created these characters, we wanted them to be as down to earth and relatable to our audiences as possible. Our heroes are normal kids, who go to school during the day but act as dream agents in the night – which I think is pretty cool! Each of our heroes has their own interest and passions, which also helps make them even more relatable to kids who like to express their different lifestyles and hobbies.

How will the nine new Lego Dreamzzz sets allow kids to physically engage with the IP?

All of our new Lego Dreamzzz sets help audiences engage with the latest characters and features from Season 2. For example, imaginations can truly soar with the Never Witch’s Midnight Raven, as fans can transform this into three possible toys: a walking house, a cauldron spider and a giant raven, which is unique to Lego Dreamzzz Season 2.

Each set has story-led building instructions, which can help fans connect even further with Lego Dreamzzz beyond the series.

How will the Lego Group celebrate the release of the sets, and support them at retail?

The new Lego Dreamzzz sets will be available to purchase from 1st August 2024. However, fans can now pre-order Cooper’s Robot Dinosaur C-rex, the Never Witch’s Midnight Raven and the Mateo and Z-Blob the Knight Battle Mech set via Lego stores, Lego.com/Dreamzzz and from select leading retailers around the world.

We’ve got some exciting in-store events happening for fans across the world, including product demos of our new sets, as well as Lego Dreamzzz give-aways including make and take product builds. We’ve also got a Lego Dreamzzz comic magazine available, which is really cool.

What sets Lego Dreamzzz theme apart from the myriad other ranges Lego has created over the years?

Lego Dreamzzz allows audiences to use their creativity and imagination to connect with both the real-world and the dream world, where imagination can truly run wild. Each of our Lego Dreamzzz sets help to inspire kids to unleash their inner creativity and be part of something unique – whether that’s following the story-led building instructions, or making a colour dream collection, each creation is personal to them, making it really special.

Children can join this season’s latest adventures from 17th May and watch the Lego Dreamzzz: Night of the Never Witch episodes on Lego’s YouTube channel. The second half of the season will air in September, later this year.
