The British Toy & Hobby Association made the presentation to Jon Ward of Epoch Making Toys at the Toymaster evening dinner last night.
The award was presented to Jon by British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) chairman, Simon Pilkington, on behalf of the BTHA at the Toymaster Show, surrounded by colleagues and friends past and present, who had gathered to celebrate the final night of the Toymaster show, with an awards event.
Jon Ward is described by his nominators and seconders as someone who is an honest, hardworking and kind man who gets great satisfaction from helping others. The nominattion also highlighted that he is “an industry legend, humble and totally deserving of this recognition. He is a wonderful role model to others who constantly goes out of his way to help his peers understand the business and the industry. He is always there for moral support and encouragement, 24 hours a day.”
Handing over the award, BTHA Chairman, Simon Pilkington, said: “I am delighted to present a Golden Teddy Award to Jon. He is truly a great example of what a Golden Teddy Award winner should be; someone who is loyal, respected and has served with dedication over a sustained period in the toy industry. On behalf of all at the BTHA, congratulations to Jon for this recognition.”
