The May issue of Toy World is out now

Published on: 1st May 2024

The latest issue of Toy World is now available to read online, featuring a host of content including the latest in the Dolls & Collectibles category.

The May edition of Toy World is another of our popular flip cover editions. The main issue includes a feature on Dolls & Collectibles as well as all the latest toy industry news and insight.

In this issue, Toy World spoke with KidsKnowBest about transatlantic toy trends and the team’s findings on what 6-9-year-olds like to spend their money on.

The magazine also features a retail profile on Morrisons with senior buyer, David Catton and a special feature on entering the Indian Toy Market from the experts at Economic Laws Practice.

In light of the British Toy & Hobby Association’s 80th anniversary this year, Rachael Simpson-Jones spoke with six BTHA representatives about what it’s like to work for such a beloved organisation. This is part one of a two-part special which will be continued in the June issue of Toy World.

Additionally, the May edition contains an interview with Kimberly Carcone and Andy Keimach about the Toy Association’s upcoming LA presentation week in September, a Viewpoint from Etopia Consultancy’s Asha Bhalsod, and our regular insights from Circana, Generation Media and Learning Express Toys’ Rick Derr in his Letter from America.

Flipping the issue reveals a dedicated Licensing World section, containing a Vegas Licensing Expo Preview, plus features on Character Licensed Merchandise and Hot Properties.

Also, for the first time ever, a stand-alone supplement previewing the Toymaster May Show has been produced alongside the main issue.
