Toy World’s first ever Toymaster May Show supplement is out now

Published on: 1st May 2024

This year, Toy World – and its advertisers – have shown their love for the annual independent toy buying event with a supplement dedicated to the Toymaster May Show.

Toy World’s first ever supplement purely focused on the Toymaster May Show is out now and available to read both in print and online.

An unmissable part of the trade show calendar for the 100+ exhibitors that make their way to Harrogate’s beautiful Majestic Hotel, the May Show returns this month from 21st-23rd. In this 88-page supplement, Toy World takes a deep dive into the event and the buying group behind it, so readers have plenty of time to plan their trip and make the most of the three days.

While the Toymaster team has been hard at work behind the scenes for months in preparation for the show, managing director Yogi Parmar still made time to host Toy World’s John Baulch and Rachael Simpson-Jones at the buying group’s revamped HQ, where they discussed Toymaster’s enhanced focus on retailer-supplier relationships, the challenges and opportunities ahead for indies, and what its new office space offers members and suppliers.

Toy World then caught up with a selection of Toymaster suppliers to find out what, in their eyes, makes the UK’s independent toy retailers so special, and how exactly they’re going above and beyond to support them this year.

We also spoke to a number of Toymaster members about the many perks offered by the group, from access to its newly done up meeting spaces and window display programme to the Toymaster Information Management System (TIMS) and access to hundreds of the UK’s biggest toy and game brands.

This special supplement also contains a comprehensive preview of what will be on show later on this month, including the attractive deals and offers suppliers are laying on to support attending retailers.

The Toymaster May Show is open to Toymaster members and non-members alike. To find out more about the show click here, and to enjoy Toy World’s first ever Toymaster Supplement, click here.
