Playmobil celebrates heroes of everyday life

Toy figures initiative launched to thank key workers and raise funds.

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, key workers have worked hard to ensure that everyday life doesn’t come to a standstill, despite the many risks. Whether in retail, nursing, medical care or emergency services, their valuable work deserves the highest public recognition.

Playmobil has launched a special charity initiative, in aid of the NHS Charities Together campaign, to say thank you to each and every key worker playing an essential role during the pandemic. The campaign will see a variety of everyday heroes created as exclusive figures – initially comprising a nurse, cashier and emergency paediatrician.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing and display manager, commented: “With this campaign, Playmobil will be making an active contribution to support those working on the frontline in the fight against coronavirus. As well as raising vital funds for NHS Charities Together, we have also released a series of awareness animations for children, educating them on coronavirus, the importance of social distancing and celebrating our everyday heroes.”

The exclusive figures are available immediately on the Playmobil online store (RRP £3.99), with all sales profits donated to NHS Charities Together. For more information, visit www.playmobil.co.uk.
