VIP Pets Mini Fans from IMC Toys lead Kids Fashion Week

Published on: 15th January 2021

As an event sponsor, IMC Toys will create a collection of wigs duplicating the hairstyles from VIP Pets Mini Fans for child models to show off on the catwalk, alongside the dolls themselves.

IMC Toys is to partner with Mini Mode: Global Kids Fashion Week in a collaboration for its popular collectible doll range, VIP Pets.

Following 2020’s hugely successful UK launch of the new range of fashionable pet-themed dolls, the latest VIP Pets Mini Fans will be making their debut on Mini Mode’s virtual runway, which sees mini models taking to the runway to showcase the hottest pieces in childrenswear.

Taking place during London Fashion Week, on Saturday 20th February 2021 at 3pm on social media channels for direct consumers, IMC Toys has been announced as an event sponsor. The company will be working with the Mini Mode team to create a collection of wigs for the children to wear on the runway, duplicating the long, colourful hairstyles from the dolls. The dolls themselves will also feature on the catwalk alongside the models.

“Nothing completes an outfit like a super cool hairstyle”, says IMC UK marketing manager, Kerry Tarrant.  “And when it comes to hair, the VIP Pets Mini Fans dolls have a passion for styling, just like their idols’ VIP Pets. To celebrate the launch of the new range of dolls, VIP Pets Mini Fans are sponsoring Mini Mode’s AW21 show. It’s the perfect platform for them to showcase their fabulous runway hairstyles, from ultra-long, multi-coloured plaits and ponytails to loose curls, in vibrant shades of pink, purple, red, green, blue and yellow.

“Mini Mode is the perfect partner for VIP Pets. A global kid’s fashion platform for the kids’ fashion market, which showcases both emerging designers and major kids brands during London Fashion Week, it offers seamless synergy with our VIP Pets range and Mini Fans lines – uniting elements of glamour, empowerment, creativity and inclusivity in the global kids arena.”

“We’re so excited to be working with a brand that represents our message of inclusivity and diversity,” comments Amanda Rabor, CEO and founder of Mini Mode, Global Kids Fashion Week. “We’ve got such an exciting experience planned for the kids to watch and engage with us on the virtual runway.”

VIP Pets Mini Fans are smaller versions of their VIP Pets dolls, offering a pocket-money extension to the existing range, and appear as new characters in the latest VIP Pets animated YouTube series Kitoons. Each Mini Fan has different coloured hair and an individual hairstyle, and comes with a heart shaped comb capsule, packed with surprise goodies including hair accessories to style the Mini Pets’ extra-long hair (20cm). Children discover what’s inside by popping the capsule in water to reveal a rainbow trail and to open the capsule.

A new ‘glitter’ series of the pet dolls will also be on shelves from early Spring.  Six characters from Series 1 now come with new styles, and three new characters will be available, all with a touch of glitter.
