Kirsty will be responsible for the company’s Consumer PR, and brings a wealth of experience in toys, games and licensing.

Ravensburger has announced that toy industry PR Kirsty Barr will be working with its marketing team. She will be responsible for the Consumer PR and will work across the portfolio of brands including the Ravensburger blue triangle, Brio and ThinkFun Brain and Logic Games.

Katy Fletcher, head of marketing and product development at Ravensburger, said of the appointment: “I am delighted to welcome Kirsty on board. With her wealth of experience in toys, games and licensing, I am looking forward to working with Kirsty who will focus on the consumer PR for many of our new launches, and heritage products too.”

Kirsty said: “I’m truly thrilled to be joining Ravensburger UK, working with Katy and her team. I’ve spent many years working in PR and managing all areas of communications from consumer, trade and corporate PR through to events, social media and consumer marketing activities. I’m particularly passionate about the toy and licensing industry, and the many wonderful people within it.

“Having partnered with Ravensburger on several occasions in recent years, and seeing first-hand the media’s passion for its puzzles and games, (including Brio, of which I have a large box that my children loved), I couldn’t be happier in working with everyone to support the business in the UK as it continues to grow.”

As well as working with Ravensburger, Toy World understands that Kirsty will continue to maintain her client portfolio at Grapevine PR.

Earlier this year at the Toy of the Year Awards, Ravensburger was recognised by the Toy Retailer’s Association when it won the category for games and puzzles, a key performer in the overall toy market in 2020. The TRA noted that the category topped the growth (year on year) performance, with various suppliers driving this increase as well as helping educate and entertain children.
