MGA launches Rainbowvision music contest

Published on: 16th September 2022

MGA Entertainment expands the fashion doll property Rainbow High portfolio to include music contest Rainbowvision.

Rainbowvision is the world-famous music competition featured on the Rainbow High animated content series on YouTube, which showcases the new range of Rainbowvision dolls – Rainbow High and Shadow High fashion dolls. Rainbow Divas and Neon Shadow battle it out to be crowned winner of the eighth competition, along with other schools. Rainbow High expects to win Rainbowvision, but Shadow High will do anything it can to stop this.

Rainbow Divas introduces superstars, Ayesha Sterling, Meline Luxe and Sabrina St. Cloud, who are all talented singers and come dressed in glittering silver, gold and pink. Each doll comes with a choice of two outfits and shoes, as well as a range of accessories for imaginative play.

Neon Shadow introduces rock stars Harley Limestone, Uma Vanhoose and Mara Pinkett, dressed in neon green, neon blue and neon pink, respectively. Each doll comes with a corresponding musical instrument as well as two pairs of shoes, two outfit choices and a doll stand.

The launch of Rainbowvision sees the arrival of the biggest collection of Rainbow High dolls under the one range, initially with nine unique dolls to collect. All dolls are fully articulated and posable, with long, brushable hair and come fully equipped with individual accessories unique to each doll. The range is expected to expand further with an additional set of dolls who form part of another disruptive band competing in Rainbowvision, rivalling both Rainbow Divas and Neon Shadow.

Rainbow High will launch its first ever Rainbow High album on 23rd September this year as part of the launch of Rainbowvision. Fans of the brand can follow along with the animated series on YouTube and will get the chance to listen to a specially curated album from the characters of Rainbow High.

Rainbow High has seen immense growth since its launch in 2020. According to NPD data, it was the No.1 fastest growing Fashion Doll property in 2021 and the No.3 Fashion Doll Property YTD (July 2022) in the UK. The brand continues to build on this in 2022 and beyond.

MGA Entertainment will support the launch of the Rainbowvision range with extensive TV, PR and influencer activity, each promoting the brand’s ethos of empowering children to be whatever they want to be when they grow up.
