Play-Doh and Twinkl partner to help nurture imaginations

Published on: 10th October 2022

Twinkl and Play-Doh have collaborated to create new resources for schools and parents, who can access them for free.

Hasbro has announced a collaboration between its much-loved Play-Doh brand for pre-schoolers and Twinkl, the trusted home of teacher-created planning and assessment materials and teaching resources. The partnership will bring schools and parents Play-Doh brand-inspired learning resources, designed to celebrate imagination and encourage kids to stay curious and be creative.

Initial free resources are available now from Twinkl across Maths, English and Wellbeing. There are also plans in motion to expand to more curriculum areas and subjects in the coming months. Additional to learning resources, the Play-Doh brand will also be introducing a Play-Doh Imagination Certificate, which will be available to schools and parents on Twinkl’s website. The idea behind this is to celebrate and encourage moments of imagination both at school and at home.

“The Play-Doh brand has always been synonymous with imagination, and we know that kids are creative geniuses, with imaginative moments happening anywhere, anytime, every day,” explained Nicola Fox-Haggarty, Commercial director at Hasbro UK and Ireland. “Whether in the classroom or at home, our aim is to help to develop children’s capacity to imagine, stay curious and be creative, which is why this collaboration with Twinkl feels like a perfect fit. We are so excited to see these learning resources roll out and hope that parents and schools alike will share our passion for imagination moving forwards.”

Jonathan Seaton, CEO and co-founder of Twinkl said: “It’s a delight to be able to team up with Hasbro on these engaging resources. Play-Doh products have helped children think creatively and imaginatively for generations. Play-based learning is an important part of development, both in the classroom and at home. Through this, the Play-Doh brand offers an excellent tool to build these skills with young children, and we’re excited to see how these resources can be used in support of this.”

The Play-Doh programme will also be extended to further European markets with access to Twinkl learning materials throughout 2023.

The activation is the latest in a series of developments for the Play-Doh brand, which has been identified by Hasbro as a key driver of the company’s planned pre-school growth. Only recently, the brand announced the creation of a new slime line through a partnership between Play-Doh, Nickelodeon and Paramount Consumer Products.
