Kidicraft’s Golden Ticket competition promises to drive footfall

Three lucky consumers have the chance to find a Golden Ticket inside their limited edition 3,000-piece Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia jigsaw puzzle, with amazing prizes to be won. 

Partnering with its licensor, Hornby Hobbies, Kidicraft has revealed the details of a special Golden Ticket competition which has been designed to attract Airfix fans to their local toy store.

Hidden inside just three of Kidicraft’s new Limited Edition 3,000-piece Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia jigsaw puzzles is a Golden Ticket. Each of the three lucky winners who discover a ticket will win a one-night stay for two including breakfast at a 4 star hotel, a VIP tour of the Hornby Hobbies Visitors Centre in Margate, and a generous £200 voucher to spend at the Hornby Hobbies Visitors Centre gift shop on the day of the tour. Kidicraft is calling this ‘the perfect prize for collectors and seasoned modellers’, and one that is sure to generate a lot of excitement among the passionate community of Airfix fans.

Suitable for ages six and above, the limited edition puzzle depicts the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia mid-flight. According to Airfix, the first production Spitfire Mk.I was delivered to RAF No.19 Squadron at Duxford on 4th August 1938 and heralded the arrival of a future aviation icon. With various upgraded marks of this classic fighter serving throughout WWII, the Spitfire is arguably the most famous fighter aircraft to ever take to the skies. This special puzzle also includes a 1:72 scale Supermarine Spitfire Model Kit, making it a true collector’s items for play and display.
