Sambro gifts toys to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital

Published on: 20th December 2022

The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity has thanked Sambro for the donations which will cheer children on the wards this festive season.

Bury-based toy company Sambro is donating a range of toys to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital to raise the spirits of young patients during the festive season. As an integral part of Sambro’s CSR for 2022, the firm has focused on giving back to its local community.

Sambro will be sharing a selection of its portfolio, which includes brands like Disney, Paramount and Hasbro, with the kids, including arts & crafts products, Felties, Barbie fashion creative toys and more, in the form of key characters like Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and Disney Princesses.

Paul Blackaby, CEO at Sambro, said: “Giving back is important to us at Sambro, particularly when it comes to our local Greater Manchester community. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is such a worthy cause and we’re honoured to be able to offer some happiness this Christmas with our toys hopefully bringing a smile to a child’s face. We’re always looking for ways to give back to the local community, and we hope this donation makes the festive period a little more special for the kids in hospital this Christmas.”

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity exists to enhance the experience of the 280,000-plus children cared for by the hospital every year, and the charity supports excellence in treatment, research and care the hospital provides to its young patients.

Jack Bright, Relationship manager for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “Sambro’s generous gift will mean the world to children spending the festive season in our children’s hospital. All the staff at Sambro should be proud that their thoughtful gesture will be making children smile and give them a little pick-me-up at what can be an emotional and difficult time.

Jack explained that Christmas is a particularly important time for the charity and a time of year when people often turn their thoughts to how they can help others. “Thanks to Sambro and others like them, we have plenty of toys and gifts for the children now,” he commented. “Anyone else who wants to make a contribution can visit our special Christmas website (link here) to make a donation. Donations on the website will not just help our patients and families at Christmas, but all year round.”

“Thank you to Sambro and everyone who has supported us this year and Merry Christmas,” he added.
