Orchard waves farewell to Erica Haythornthwaite after 25 years

Published on: 12th January 2023

The National Account manager at educational games and jigsaws company Orchard Toys is described as a key member of the sales team.

After 32 years in the toy sector, including more than 25 years at Orchard Toys, London Toy Fair will be Erica’s farewell to all the customers and colleagues she has had the pleasure of working with throughout this time.

Over the years Erica says she has created many fond memories, and a host of personal highlights, including working with a palaeontologist at the Natural History Museum to develop the Dinosaur Discovery Puzzle, dressing up for the fun fancy dress nights out at Toymaster shows, and forging positive connections with all the people she has met in the toy trade; customers, associates and colleagues.

Erica celebrated her 25 year anniversary in July this year. Speaking about the milestone, Erica said: “I can’t quite believe it. What an amazing industry to have had the pleasure of working in for quarter of a century. Year after year I’ve met so many lovely customers, and been able to show them the best range.”

Simon Newbery, managing director at Orchard Toys, commented: “Erica has been a key member of our sales team during her 25 years with us. She will be greatly missed by us all, and we wish Erica the very best in her future endeavours.”

Orchard Toys will be exhibiting at London Toy Fair on Stand E10. The company has added 10 new games to its award-winning line up for 2023, which will be highlighted at the show. There will be a special show offer for retailers, featuring a free stock pack, which can be discussed with the Orchard Toys sales team. The Kayes of Cardiff sales team will also be on hand to talk to independent retailers.

Launch highlights include Dinosaur Dig, the company’s hero game, and Nutty Numbers which headlines the brand’s new educational games.
