Vivid Goliath raises over £3,000 for the Toy Trust

Published on: 24th May 2023

Vivid Goliath’s ‘Brilliant Bikers’ – Rory Edwards and Richard Sutcliff – embarked on a gruelling ride to raise funds as part of The Toy Trust’s May Mayhem campaign.

Supporting the Toy Trust’s May Mayhem, Vivid Goliath’s bikers Rory Edwards and Richard Sutcliff took on and achieved their goal of riding 160km on Sunday 22nd May, cycling seven hours and 20 minutes to raise much needed funds for Whizz-Kidz charity. Their ride entailed 2000m of climbing hills through Bath and the West Country.

“We had mapped out an intensive and scientific training programme that we didn’t quite get round to doing, so the final hills were a leg burner,” said Richard. “But, with some moral support from family and friends, we’re delighted to have made it and have raised £3,222 to date, beating our £3,000 target.”

Following their gruelling feat, Richard and Rory gave thanks to their sponsors, Crayola, PSC and ICW, as well as everyone who has donated so generously to date.

With 10 days still to go, Vivid Goliath’s fundraising efforts are still going strong. Carl Minter continues his 5k a day running challenge, while numerous members of the team signed up for a 10k a day walk throughout the month of May.

There is still time to sponsor the Vivid Goliath team here.

May Mayhem is taking place throughout the whole month. Organisers of the Toy Trust, The British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) is encouraging as many members from the toy industry as possible to get involved to raise money in any way they can for this year’s main Toy Trust beneficiary, Whizz-Kidz.
