Tonies adds Disney Encanto to portfolio

Published on: 7th June 2023

The Tonie features lead character Mirabel and includes the Encanto story in English and Spanish plus songs such as We Don’t Talk About Bruno, Family Madrigal and Dos Oruguitas.

Tonies has announced the UK launch of Disney’s hit musical Encanto in Tonie form. The Encanto Tonie was launched in the US a few weeks ago and immediately became the number one best-seller, with New York Magazine tipping the new addition to be a sell-out Tonie, signalling an equally enthusiastic reception here in the UK.

Disney’s Encanto won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2021, and has remained a firm favourite with Disney devotees around the globe. It has now been brought to life in audio form, to be enjoyed by fans of the multi award-winning Toniebox at home or away. The new Tonie follows over 30 Disney Tonie titles, which has become the brand’s leading licence.

Encanto tells the tale of the Madrigals, an extraordinary family living in a magical house in the mountains of Colombia. The enchanting tale teaches little listeners valuable lessons about belonging, courage, bravery and the importance of family and community.

The hand painted Tonie features Mirabel, the lead character in the film, and includes readings of the Encanto story with the original cast, in both English and Spanish. Singalong fun includes songs such as Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit We Don’t Talk About Bruno, Family Madrigal, Surface Pressure, What Else Can I Do? and Dos Oruguitas.
