Premier League Adrenalyn XL has record-breaking launch

Published on: 24th August 2023

Panini reports retailers fighting to keep stock of Premier League Adrenalyn XL on shelves, and reorders flying in to meet the extensive consumer demand.

It’s just three weeks since the release of the new Premier League Adrenalyn XL 2024 Trading Card Game and Panini has seen another record-breaking launch period for the range. With many retailers reporting RSV +100% YOY across all SKUs, it’s clear that consumer demand for the product shows no signs of slowing down as collectors race to chase the all-new Golden Ballers, as well as the limited editions and auto cards across the full collection. Panini says that retailers are fighting to keep stock on shelves and reorders are flying in to ensure consumer demand can be met, with the collection driving significant retail footfall as well as online traffic.

With a full 360 marketing campaign now in full swing, kids have celebrated the start of the new Premier League season by kickstarting their collections, on a mission to become the ‘GOAT of Swaps’.

Katie Gritt, head of Marketing for Sport at Panini said: “The response to the launch of the new Premier League Adrenalyn XL 2024 Trading Card Game has been incredible. We knew our collectors would love the new design and were confident that the Golden Ballers would cause real excitement, so we couldn’t be more delighted with the sales we are seeing across all SKUs and all retail channels as a result. Last year’s collection retained a double-digit uplift on the previous year for the whole product lifecycle and this collection looks set to be even bigger. This is just the start.”
