Heathside unveils new Hatsune Miku collection

Published on: 21st September 2023

The initial launch includes backpack clips and vinyl figures based on Hatsune Miku, with full ranges of plush and stick-ons coming in 2024.

Heathside is pleased to announce the release of the Hatsune Miku collection, which is available from this month. The release of the latest line coincides with the Pokémon x Hatsune Miku activation, which was also recently announced..

Max Nelson, account manager at Heathside, told Toy World: ”Miku has been performing all year, and now, with the Pokémon activation, demand on launch has been amazing. The Hatsune Miku brand has been on trend for a number of years and has picked up thanks to the explosion of anime ranges in 2023. The licence complements all the other ranges we have in our portfolio, which will expand with further new additions in 2024.”

Hatsune Miku – a Vocaloid software voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media and its official anthropomorphic mascot character, a 16-year-old girl with long, turquoise pigtails – has 100,000 released songs, 170,000 uploaded YouTube videos, created 1,000,000 artworks, and has over 900,000 fans on Facebook. 3D concerts featuring Hatsune holograms have taken place worldwide, with performances in LA, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, while corporate collaborations have been secured with Sega, Toyota USA and Google.

Hatsune is considered a global icon by her fans. A culture has sprung up around her that encourages the worldwide creative community to produce and share Miku-related content. The forthcoming Heathside range of figures, keychains and plush will lean into this, offering new ways for Miku fans to express their love for her.
