Make it Real sets up initiative to support children of all faiths across Israel

Published on: 24th October 2023

Make It Real is distributing toys to children across the country and is looking for additional donations from companies with stock in the UK or Israel to bolster its efforts in the region.

In partnership with a number of non-profit organisations, US-based toy company Make it Real has opened up a warehouse outside of Tel Aviv to distribute toys to children across Israel. The initiative is aimed at supporting children affected by the crisis there, who find themselves in hospitals, bomb shelters, or displaced in hotels and homes across the country.

The company has already established over 35 distribution points, which are serviced completely by volunteers and are providing toys to children of all faiths impacted by the crisis.

In a call from the US yesterday evening, Make it Real CEO Isaac Wolman told Toy World: “We have purchased and distributed over 30,000 toys using our own funds to date, but we are in need of additional help to continue. What I would ask from anyone in the toy industry that would like to get involved: first, does anyone have toys already held by a distributor in Israel that they can donate or make available at a meaningful discount? Or if there is anyone that has toys in the UK that they would be willing to donate, we have negotiated rates with El Al and will pay to fly them to Israel ourselves.”

Anyone interested in supporting this valuable work can reach out to Isaac directly on 001 410 980 5463 or email iwolman@makeitrealplay.com.
