Sophia Webster designs L.O.L. Surprise! doll

Published on: 27th October 2023

Having designed her own L.O.L. Surprise! BossLady doll, Sophia Webster also came up with a range of Mini jellies and wellies, plus exclusive high heels for grown-up fans.

When L.O.L. Surprise! approached Sophia Webster for this collaboration, she jumped at the opportunity. Sophia was already familiar with the dolls thanks to her daughters being big fans. She says that, even before becoming a mother, she has always understood the potency of imaginary characters and dolls, particularly those with a hyper-feminine aesthetic. MGA is confident that both brands share a connection on colour, pattern, textures and unabashed girl power.

Sophia was invited to design a doll and took inspiration from her iconic and best-selling BossLady shoes, bags and Mini shoes. The Sophia Webster L.O.L. Surprise! doll sports a pink sparkly slogan dress, pastel glitter bunches, sparkly heart sunglasses and BossLady flatforms in baby blue and leopard print.

To celebrate the partnership, Sophia took inspiration from her own BossLady doll, plus four of L.O.L. Surprise!’s most popular dolls – MC Swag, Queen Bee, Neon QT and Diva – and designed a range of Mini jellies and wellies, and an exclusive run of high heels for her most avid grown-up fans, resulting in a quintessential manifestation of her creative universe.

“Designing a collaboration like this is my ultimate happy place,” commented Sophia. “I couldn’t be more thrilled with my BossLady L.O.L. Surprise! doll – she’s cute, sassy and my daughters have given their enthusiastic thumbs up. I love the idea of kids all over the world playing with a doll embodying the BossLady energy and hope that it inspires them.”

The L.O.L. Surprise! by Sophia Webster doll will be available in the UK at Harrods and Selfridges, where the Sophia Webster x L.O.L. Surprise! Mini shoes will also be available. The footwear will also be available worldwide on Sophiawebster.com, along with the adult shoes.
