Fitzgerald’s Homevalue joins Toymaster

Published on: 20th December 2023

The independent toy buying group Toymaster has welcomed a new member, Ireland’s Fitzgerald’s Homevalue, further enhancing the retailer’s buying power.

According to the retailer’s website, Fitzgerald’s Homevalue Dingle – affectionately known in the local area as Fitzies – is a family run business that has been serving the community of West Kerry and beyond for over 50 years. The business was founded in 1968 by Paudie Fitzgerald and his brother Tom, and is currently being managed by Paudie’s son, Thomas, who has been with the company since 1999.

The company supplies toys, building materials, electricals, plumbing, DIY, garden, homewares, furniture, paint and general hardware from two locations in Dingle town.

Before joining Toymaster, Fitzgerald’s Homevalue was already a member of both the United Hardware and Euronics buying groups. This enhanced buying power gives Fitzgerald’s access to the biggest brands and the latest products at the best prices.

Fitzgerald’s Homevalue can be found on Main Street, Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland, V92 E5CY. To contact the team, call (353) 669 151 509 or email Eileen Fitzgerald on eileen@homevaluedingle.ie

In a statement, Toymaster said: “We would like to welcome Fitzgerald’s Homevalue to the Toymaster family and wish Eileen, Thomas and the team the best of luck.”

Fitzgerald’s Homevalue joins Mermaid Gift Shop, Toys N Trends Whitstable, Nutley Newsagents and others, as this year’s onboarded members. Like all members, Fitzgerald’s will be able to enjoy the support of Toymaster suppliers with offers and exclusive lines ahead of the festive season.

In November, Toymaster unveiled its Christmas catalogue, which featured all the key brands Toymaster members can choose to stock for the festive season and has been helping consumers narrow down their wishlist for Father Christmas in the run-up to the big day. Brian McLaughlin, development manager at Toymaster, told Toy World: “Our members are gearing up for a great Christmas season, which the Christmas catalogue will support. Inside, readers will find a huge selection of predicted Christmas best-sellers, top brands and member exclusives they won’t find anywhere else.”

Toymaster will be returning to London Toy Fair in January 2024, where its Members Lounge (UL149 and Dark Room) will welcome existing and prospective members for a refreshing beverage and information on the many benefits of group membership. To book an appointment, email Brian on brian.mcLaughlin@toymaster.co.uk.
