A brand-new movie from Mattel, Barbie and Stacie to the Rescue, will make its UK linear TV premiere exclusively on free-to-air children’s channel Pop on Saturday 23rd March.

The hour-long special will follow Barbie’s middle sister, Stacie, as she comes to the rescue of Barbie and Skipper. Barbie and Stacie to the Rescue marks the first time Stacie has played a lead role in Barbie content and includes five new original songs as well as introducing new friends.

In Barbie and Stacie to the Rescue, the two characters embark on a brand-new journey; the Roberts family heads to Wisconsin for a hot air balloon festival where Stacie finds she is too young for adult activities, yet too old to play with the little kids. But when her older sisters Barbie and Skipper find themselves in trouble, Stacie finds she has the right skills to save the day.

Fans can play out their own Barbie & Stacie summer adventures with a new toy range inspired by the movie, including the Barbie Stacie & Barbie two-pack, where their summer clothes and accessories are inspired by their looks in the animated movie; and Stacie Doll and Go-Kart, complete with rolling wheels, checkered decoration, a removable flag and attachable puppy basket. Kids can customise their go-kart and helmets with the included sticker sheet.

The UK linear TV premiere of Barbie and Stacie to the Rescue will air on Saturday 23rd March at 9am and 4.30pm on Pop. It will also be available to watch on catch-up on Pop Player.
