Toy of the Year finalists will be announced in August and the winners will be revealed at the TOTY Awards party on Friday, September 29th in New York.
The Toy Foundation
has opened the call for nominations for the 24th edition of the Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards. The toy industry is invited to submit their top products and properties, exceptional team members and outstanding campaigns across 23 categories (including six brand new categories) for the chance to be named the best of the best. The Toy Foundation stressed that every submission is a display of the industry’s commitment to TTF’s work delivering the benefits of play to children in need.
Nominations may be submitted online until July 7th. Finalists will be announced on August 21st and the winners will be revealed at the TOTY Awards party which kicks off New York Toy Fair on Friday, September 29th.
“The Toy of the Year Awards is the night to celebrate the very best,” commented Anne Carrihill, chair of the TOTY Awards Committee and Amazon’s director for toys and games. “This year, we are excited to spotlight both companies and individuals propelling our industry forward with six new categories, as well as 17 product categories, that provide valuable opportunities to drive consumer engagement ahead of the holiday shopping season. Award finalists and winners will receive valuable opportunities such as media coverage, influencer engagement, or promotional video and social content, that support business growth and place companies and products in front of hundreds of thousands of industry professionals and consumers.
The TOTY Awards celebration will feature the prestigious awards, Toy Industry Hall of Fame induction, a one-of-a-kind auction experience and exclusive entertainment. It’s also the night to support the industry’s Foundation and create a greater collective impact on children in need. All proceeds, inclusive of award submissions and ticket sales, help TTF to deliver play to 31m million children and counting.
