DKB Toys & Distribution teams up with Norton PR for UK launch

Published on: 19th February 2021

The appointment of Norton PR will spearhead consumer and trade communications across the portfolio of DKB brands due to launch in 2021.

Founded in 2020, DKB Toys & Distribution aims to become a one-stop-shop for some of the biggest and best toy brands on the market. The company’s ambitious vision is driven by MD Chris Lohmeyer who has confirmed the appointment of Norton PR across the DKB portfolio.

Kids and family specialist hybrid agency Norton PR will initially provide support across DKB own-brand Crazy Forts alongside the Alex Global Brands range, which are all being introduced into the UK this summer. Already a huge hit at retail with over 300k units sold across the US and Canada, Crazy Forts is a simple, yet innovative product that offers huge scope for PR, digital and social; all of which will fall under Norton’s 360 degree PR approach.

“The possibilities for us on a product like Crazy Forts are endless,” comments Emma Arthur, PR director at Norton PR. “As an established IP with a ludicrously simple play concept, we have carte blanche to come up with as many creative ideas as we can. Anything from sleepovers to board meetings – indoor or outdoor – can be held within Crazy Fort customized den spaces. Influencer partnerships, retailer events, digital content and so much more are all options for us as the market and consumer landscape evolves post-pandemic.”

Chris Lohmeyer believes 2021 offers an opportunity to re-shape how the UK toy market does business and is keen to promote what DKB can offer to an evolving distributor landscape. “Working in partnership with Norton PR to communicate our company vision and structure presents us with the opportunity to really engage with those companies who could ultimately benefit from the DKB offering,” he explained. “With expansion within the UK already on the cards, we are now looking at heading into Europe and beyond via our established partner networks, which is also something that Nortons, with its global agency set-up, can help us with moving forward.”
