Jade Childs looks forward to colourful future with Crayola

Published on: 1st September 2023

Jade has been promoted to marketing controller for the Crayola brand in recognition of her outstanding commercial and creative skills.

Having worked on the Crayola brand at Vivid/Goliath for nearly four years, Jade Childs – formerly senior brand manager for Crayola UK – has been promoted to the new position of marketing controller, reflecting what the company calls her ‘outstanding commercial and creative skills’.

Jade has worked on a number of high profile partnership and promotional campaigns during her time at Vivid/Goliath, whilst also managing a vast range comprising hundreds of SKUs. Jade’s remit includes supporting the all-important Back to School period, which last year included overseeing a high profile and very successful campaign in partnership with Tom Gates.

“BTS is very much like our Christmas for the stationery world, and we always strive to make sure that Crayola continues to the be brand of choice when parents are shopping for the new school year,” said Jade.

Jade explained that outside of Back to School, Crayola has seen strong growth across Colour Wonder licences this year. More recently, Barbie has also been added to the brand’s strong line-up and is already outperforming expectations.

Jade added: “It’s been a privilege to work with so many licensing partners to grow the portfolio over the last few years. Another highlight has been the launch of Colours of Kindness this year, a range promoting positive messages on every pencil, crayon and marker. The range represents something we can all relate to, and its strong sales show it resonates with our consumers too.”
