To celebrate the launch of Rainbow High Fantastic Fashion Dolls, a multichannel campaign and competition generated widespread reach and engagement for the brand.

Rainbow High gave one fan a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a real fashion designer, to celebrate the launch of Rainbow High Fantastic Fashion Dolls.

The campaign saw the brand team up with celebrity stylist and influencer Lou Teasdale to run a competition for fans to learn how to design clothing and create their very own t-shirt. Running across Lou’s own channels and the brand’s Instagram feed, the competition received a reach of nearly 90k.

The winner – six-year-old Daisy from Cheshire – was able to have a one-to-one consultation with Lou, where she created her own ‘Girl Power’ themed design. Brand partner Fashion UK turned the design into a real t-shirt, which was unveiled at an exclusive photo shoot attended by the winner with her family and friends. As well as learning all about the fashion design process, Daisy modelled her t-shirt for a feature that will appear in the December issue of leading children’s magazine, Girl Talk. The content will also run across the brand’s own social media channels.

Spanning traditional media, digital media and influencer content, this multichannel campaign generated widespread reach and engagement for the brand, whilst giving back to fans and celebrating core brand values.

“This was a highly successful and rewarding campaign where we were not only able to make one young fan’s dreams come true, but also be true to the values of creativity and friendship that are central to the Rainbow High’s ethos,” commented Pamela Justice, Marketing manager at MGA Entertainment. “Since its inception, fashion has always been a core theme of the Rainbow High brand and there has been a focus on following your own creative path. This campaign has allowed our fans to do just that.”

Since its launch in 2020, Rainbow High has continued to grow and rise in popularity, and has been revealed as the No.1 fastest growing Fashion Doll and the No.3 Doll property by Circana.
