Board Game Club announces 4th July ‘Independents Day’

Published on: 14th June 2023

No, it’s not a typo: 4th July will see London’s popular Board Game Club focus solely on games from independent studios and designers.

The monthly grown-up games night has revealed plans for its next event on 4th July.

Labelled Independents Day, the games menu will exclusively feature tabletop titles from indie games studios and designers such as Format Games, Big Potato and Camden Games.

Aimed at celebrating the incredible creativity at the heart of indie games, the night will showcase a range of party, card, light strategy and action games for guests at Soho’s private members’ club, Century.

Inventors and indie labels are invited to suggest games for potential inclusion on the menu by emailing Playtime PR (boardgameclub@playtimepr.com) with details of the games.

Free tickets to Board Game Club’s Independents Day event on 4th July 2023 are available now here. Readers can join the Board Game Club membership by signing up at www.boardgameclub.net.

Everybody over-18 is welcome and the nights regularly attract familiar faces from both inside and outside the toy industry, providing relaxed and sociable networking opportunities as well as the chance to check out the latest releases.

Last month’s event saw the club return after a Covid-induced break, with a revamped look and an expanded team.
