Game reveals the toys on its Holiday Hits list

Published on: 25th October 2023

Alongside its top tips for the top Gaming and Tech & Accessories lines this year, retailer Game has put together a list of its predictions for best-selling toys.

As one of the UK’s leading entertainment retailers, not only does Game say it has the best selection of this year’s gaming hits, with all kinds of pre-order bonuses and collector’s editions, but its stores are also overflowing with tech, toys and exclusive collectibles.

With this in mind, the team at Game has put together its predictions for the 2023 Holiday Hits in all key sectors, including toys.

The Game Toys Holiday Hits are:

  • Squishmallows – Jazwares
  • Hot Wheels City Ultimate Hauler – Mattel
  • Barbie Dreamhouse – Mattel
  • Twister Air – Hasbro
  • Pokémon SV 151 Ultra Premium Collection – Asmodee
  • Furby Purple – Hasbro
  • Lego Disney and Pixar ‘Up’ House – Lego Group
  • Transformers Optimus Prime PVC Statue – Game Exclusive
  • Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Little Chef Starter Set – Hasbro
  • Nerf Pro Gelfire Mythic Blaster – Hasbro

Christmas 2022 saw Game tangibly put its stamp on the toy category for the first time in its history. Currently working with a raft of big-name toy suppliers, the retailer has been undergoing something of an overhaul for the past couple of years, moving away from a predominantly games business to one that is far more focused on the Toy & Game industry. This has led to big changes in terms of the space the category is afforded, both in-store and in its House of Fraser and Sports Direct concessions.

Speaking about the Holiday Hits, a spokesperson for Game commented: “Squishmallows are perfect to snuggle with, while the Hot Wheels City Ultimate Hauler can haul more than 20 1:64 scale cars and then transform into a stomping T-Rex with a race track on its back. We’re sure everyone will want their own Barbie Dreamhouse as Barbie mania continues this holiday season, and the app-enabled Twister Air should get the family off the sofa.”

“The Lego Disney and Pixar Up House will appeal to film fans and older kids with its many details and challenging build, and the Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Little Chef Starter Set lets kids discover the joy of Play-Doh, plus it’s part of our ‘2-for-£20’ on selected toys and games range.”

Innovation within stores is playing a big part in drawing shoppers in and showcasing the greatly expanded toy range Game now offers. You can read more about Game’s toy business in an exclusive interview with its buyers that appeared in Toy World earlier this year.
