Product Marketing Manager – Games

The company is currently seeking a product marketing manager – games to join the fantastic team.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Develop the strategy for the Games category in the UK and Republic of Ireland through understanding of consumer and retail requirements and demands;
  • Work with the international product development teams in USA and Germany on developing and localising new products for the UK market;
  • Identifying new opportunities through liaising with the games inventor community, social media and feedback from sales and marketing teams;
  • Develop marketing plans and execute in partnership with the digital marketing manager for a wide portfolio of games;
  • Brief and adapt digital and TV assets with creative agencies;
  • Identify and execute annual games expo plans;
  • Work alongside the PR manager to create and execute PR plans including identifying product placement and influencer opportunities;
  • Write product descriptions, catalogue copy etc;
  • Take ownership of assets ensuring the right content is provided and updated across all platforms;
  • Conduct product, market and competition analysis to input into the marketing plan;
  • Plan product range strategy (new lines, carry forward, drops) and propose pricing;
  • Develop POS, promotions and PR activities to maximise sales performance;
  • Create preview presentations, train and support sales team in presenting to customers;
  • Attend trade fairs and exhibitions as required;
  • Plan and implement the showroom and exhibition displays;
  • Update information in A&P tracker, raise POAs and administer invoices.

Key call outs:

  • 3+ years’ successful experience of product management / development in toys, games or similar consumer goods markets;
  • Proven ability to create and execute successful marketing campaigns;
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop product, with an excellent understanding of UK packaging design requirements;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Creative, commercial and analytical;
  • Must be able to work to advanced levels with Excel, Power Point, Word;
  • You must possess a current and valid work visa for the UK.
