Originally primarily focused on North American retail, Creative Kids is now establishing a UK based sales force targeting the same success within the UK retail landscape. Our brands include Creative Kids, Air Clay, Kiddy Dough, Zzand, Sense & Grow and Science to the Max, which have all been designed and developed in-house. Alongside our core own brands, we also operate as a licensee for global licensors such as Moonbug, Hasbro and MGA to name just a few.

The Role

Creative Kids UK is now seeking a Key Account Manager to join the team, responsible for a portfolio of UK national retail customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct account responsibility for a determined number of major accounts
  • Maximise opportunities, manage risk, develop effective long-term business relationships and exceed customer expectations
  • Build business plans for each customer that fit the account’s needs, whilst achieving profitable growth in line with company and brand budgets
  • Present quarterly sales forecasts and listings for each account to the UK MD
  • Understand the customer timelines and proactively provide customers with all the information and materials required to make decisions
  • Work closely with our China and New York based teams to ensure good follow-up to meetings with customers and ensure maximum serviceability
  • Identify new accounts, win new business and set up new trading partners to contribute to growing the Creative Kids UK business
  • Manage the integration of new licensed ranges into account business plans, to ensure maximum distribution is achieved in existing accounts
  • Alongside the licensed business ensure exponential growth is achieved with our core brands within each given retailer

Required Skills

  • Self-motivated team player with an entrepreneurial spirit, ‘go-getter’ attitude
  • Minimum three years’ National Accounts experience
  • Can demonstrate a desire or experience in building accounts from the group up
  • Demonstrate successfully maintaining and developing one or more of the major accounts
  • Ability to recommend corrective actions and provide solutions
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Good management of time and personal organisation skills
  • Customer oriented, with strong negotiation ability
  • Analytical and data driven problem solving
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Netsuite experience an asset
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Flexibility regarding accounts managed


The KAM will initially be based from home with the ultimate intention to be office based.
