Our client, a hugely successful European toy manufacturer, has identified the UK territory as a substantial opportunity. Although the company does have a presence here in the UK at present, it falls some way short of its full potential; the company had decided to rectify this by investing in new offices, new people and new products. The company is very serious indeed about the UK, and has deep enough pockets to ensure a real success story. The company’s success here is assured, but we need your help to achieve it.
The Role and Candidate Requirements
As a seasoned professional from within the toy category you will have managed at least one of the top four Grocery retailers ( Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco or Morrison’s ), and it is likely you will also have had experience selling into the specialist toy channel ( think Smyths, The Entertainer, Argos etc.). Experience of the Grocery channel is the most important, however.
We have been briefed to identify and recruit an energetic and proactive individual to take ownership of this fantastic opportunity, and to open up the UK Grocery channel to its full potential.
In addition to being very commercially capable, you will possess excellent admin and self-management skills that will enable you to come through on all your promises to both your customers and your employer. You’ll also need to be accomplished in data manipulation, including of course Excel spreadsheets. At the very minimum you will understand V Look-Ups and Pivot Points.
This is a highly visible role, with no corners to hide in. The opportunity is significant, however, and would suit somebody who is really looking for the recognition they deserve. This is not in any way a job for the faint-hearted. We need somebody who can guarantee to capitalise on the opportunity that presents itself.
In return for your dedication and effort, our client is prepared to pay a basic salary of between £54,879 to £65,279 plus bonuses and a generous car allowance.
