Maillica Toys has unveiled its unique Dreamcatcher Buddies range of plush toys which offer comfort and support to children suffering with common night-time worries and day-to-day anxieties by safely capturing these negative elements in their dreamcatchers. In addition to helping kids overcome challenges such as bad dreams and night terrors, they also help to provide parents with better bedtimes – ultimately giving them their evenings back.
Their creator, Stacey Lombari – a Hertfordshire beauty salon owner and entrepreneur – tells Toy World that Dreamcatcher Buddies were made to help children feel safe at night and inspired by her own parenting experiences with her two girls. She explains: “So many children have dreamcatchers in their rooms so they feel safer at bedtime while cuddling their favourite teddy, and after my oldest daughter (who was six at the time) asked for a dreamcatcher for herself I thought I’d see if I could buy her a teddy with a dreamcatcher so she could cuddle that instead. However, I found that this wasn’t a product that currently exists, which started my journey in creating Maillica Toys and the Dreamcatcher Buddies.”
Stacey added: “The brand name Maillica Toys has a personal meaning: it is an anagram of my daughter’s names, Mila and Cali. The girls have helped me develop the product. They were the perfect people to ask for advice and it was great to see what they did and didn’t like.”

There are currently two core Dreamcatcher Buddies SKUs in the range, a dragon and unicorn. Both hold a dreamcatcher, meaning children can cuddle their favourite special plush toy while feeling even more safe and protected at night-time. They also have weighted beads in the bottom so they provide reassuring weight when being cuddled and can be stood up easily in or around the child’s bed or bedroom. The dragons are blue and green and the unicorns are rainbow coloured. However, each teddy is uniquely patterned so no two are the same.
