Published on: 21st May 2018

Kids Station will launch a toy programme in the US at Target for One Animation’s Emmy nominated series Oddbods.

Following a slew of new TV broadcasts, VOD and SVOD partnership announcements across the country, Kids Station Toys’ toy launch marks Oddbods’ first consumer products push in the region. US retailer Target has confirmed chain-wide listings of the new range from Q4 2018.

Fans can get their hands on larger than life interactive plush, mini collectible figurines and play sets, a high-energy light up game, mini vehicles and more from October. Each item will bring to life the unique personality traits of each Oddbods character.

Sashim Parmanand, CEO, One Animation, commented: “Our recently signed raft of partnerships coupled with Oddbods’ staggering audience figures is testament to the growing popularity of the brand. Target has demonstrated its commitment to the brand by launching the toy range exclusively across all stores nationwide, we couldn’t be happier to have the retailer on board.”

Visitors to Licensing Expo will have the opportunity to view the Kids Station toy range at One Animation’s stand, L226.

Meanwhile, One Animation has appointed Michele Schofield as SVP, content development and sales.

Michele joins the animation company with a strong track record and enviable credentials in the programming and production industry. A 20-year veteran, Michele has held senior level roles at A+E Networks and Turner Entertainment Networks, heading programme scheduling, commissioning and acquisitions for the companies’ Asia Pacific networks.

Sashim commented: “Michele is a well respected and tremendously talented industry professional and I am delighted to have her on board our executive team. Michele’s appointment allows us to significantly accelerate content development initiatives at One Animation and build a strong pipeline of content to drive future growth.”
