Orchard Toys is giving hundreds of educational games to the charity in what it hopes will be an ongoing partnership.

Orchard Toys is donating hundreds of its fun, educational games to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the national children’s charity championing play to help provide positive experiences for sick children.

The first shipment of donations, in what Orchard Toys hopes will be an ongoing partnership, has arrived and includes child and parent favourites such as Pop to the Shops, Shape Aliens, Magic Maths, Counting Mountain and Times Tables Heroes.

The games are being used to create dynamic, engaging box services that are distributed to healthcare settings, where they will make a huge impact to children undergoing treatment. They are also being given direct to families to provide a fun and playful distraction for seriously ill children going through a really tough time.

“Whether it’s random acts of kindness, for children’s birthdays, or for our box services, the Orchard Toys donation will make a huge impact to the children and families we support nationwide via our Family Services and Health Play Services teams,” commented Rhiannon Evans, Health Play Services manager at the Starlight Children’s Foundation. “The games are sure to help brighten children’s experiences in healthcare settings.”

Chloe Chambers, marketing executive at Orchard Toys, added: “We’re delighted our games will bring a little sunshine to children going through a tough time with treatment and who will really benefit from the joy of play.”
