Orchard Toys partners with nature reserve for Easter experience

Published on: 28th March 2023

Orchard Toys is continuing its partnership with Pensthorpe nature reserve, with the launch of an Easter themed nature trail for the Easter holidays.

As part of its strategy to collaborate with brands in the leisure and tourist attraction sector, Orchard Toys is translating what it creates in its best-selling fun and educational games and puzzles into live, physical experiences to bring to life the fun factor in educating children.

The Egg Surprise Hunt, in Pensthorpe’s WildRootz wildlife-inspired outdoor play area, is an educational visitor trail, based on the counting concept of Orchard Toys’ Egg Surprise mini game. Using the characters from the game, six playful Easter bunnies are hidden along the trail, each with a different number of eggs. With the help of a branded activity booklet, children can have fun matching the bunnies, counting the eggs and recording their answers.

Opening on 1st April, the Orchard Toys Egg Surprise Hunt is part of a wider programme of Easter activities at Pensthorpe in Norfolk, all designed to entertain families and children.

Partnering with Orchard Toys during the summer holidays last year was a great success,” said Natalie Douglas, head of Marketing at Pensthorpe. We received wonderful feedback from family visitors – they relished the opportunity to complete a trail designed by globally renowned toy designers, and enter giveaways where they could win some of their favourites from the range.

She added: “It made perfect sense to collaborate again, this time for our Easter experience, and offer added value to customers visiting the park during the holidays. We’re looking forward to seeing the vision come to life at WildRootz, one of our most popular attractions in the reserve.”

Chloe Chambers, marketing executive at Orchard Toys, said: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with Pensthorpe again, this time on an Orchard Toys Easter trail. We’re excited to see this really engaging experience come alive for family visitors, alongside the added value of exclusive giveaways and in-store promotions.”

In addition to the trail and accompanying activity booklet, Orchard Toys will provide daily spot prizes to visitors and a GWP in the Pensthorpe gift shop supported with POS, where customers spending £20 or more on Orchard Toys games and puzzles will receive a free copy of the Orchard Toys Egg Surprise mini game.
