Simon celebrated his 30 year tenure at Orchard Toys with friends and colleagues, and stated that at times, his job ‘doesn’t feel like a job’.
Orchard Toys Sales director, Simon Prest, is celebrating 30 years with the award-winning brand loved by parents, teachers and children.
To mark his anniversary, Simon was presented with celebratory bubbles and balloons, plus an exclusive framed picture – a caricature of him in his drag car, The Rocket, given the Orchard Toys creative treatment.
Simon commented: “It’s been an amazing 30 years working with a great team. I’ve loved being part of the growth of this family-owned business, the evolution of our games and puzzles, and the brilliant memories and friends I’ve made over the years at all the toy shows. I’m honoured to have such a great job, which at times really doesn’t feel like a job! Here’s to the next 10 years”.
Orchard Toys makes educational games, jigsaws and colouring books for children from as young as 18 months. With 50 years heritage, the company manufactures over three million products each year, designing each of its products with support from educational advisors including teachers, nursery practitioners, Early Years professionals and children themselves.
With the ethos of ‘Learning Made Fun’, the company strives to produce games and jigsaws which are interactive, fun and appealing, whilst also enhancing learning and educational development. An environmentally conscious company, all games and puzzle boards are made from recycled board and paper from sustainable sources.
The company recently signed The World of Peter Rabbit as its first licensed collaboration, a brand with a strong British heritage which the team believes aligns beautifully with its values. Working with Penguin Ventures, Orchard will develop an exclusive range of games and jigsaws.
