Pat Avenue is ramping up its marketing ahead of the introduction of its new collectible range Battle Heads, with a fun, kid-focused YouTube channel.

The channel will host regular animated webisodes starring the heroes and villains of the Battle Heads world. The first three webisodes went live on 30th June, three weeks ahead of the toy launch. Each features the main Battle Heads characters and their battle for supremacy on a dangerous planet, known as the Danger Zone. Here, five different clans compete against one other for food and territory in order to survive. The short, animated films are packed with good vs evil action, centred around key locations such as Leuk City, home of the Power Heroes Clan.

The Battle Heads toys will launch in late July and feature 90 characters to collect in series 1 including rare gold and silver pieces. Children can collect all the clans, choose their favourites and compete against the opposing team! Offering long-lasting, repeat play value, Battle Heads are available as blind foil-bag collectibles, complete with one surprise character and a collector’s leaflet. Two pack and four pack blisters are also available to further drive collectability. There will also be a range of playsets launching for autumn/winter.

Carmel Wright, marketing manager at Pat Avenue, commented: “We are delighted to unveil this new animation channel for Battle Heads. To watch the webisodes, kids can scan the QR and with new drops planned every 10 days there’s plenty to keep them coming back for more. The webisodes are just one piece of our marketing drive however. The brand will also be supported with all-new social media channels to build the community of collectors and a 360-marketing campaign with heavyweight pre-roll throughout the season and influencer engagement at launch and beyond.”

Tune into the first three Battle Heads webisodes here.
