As the leader of the Marketing department, the successful candidate will step into an all-encompassing role that covers everything from digital marketing to PR. They will be adept at managing their budget and an experienced people manager, able to juggle a variety of projects within agreed budgets and timelines.

The successful candidate will bring real energy to the role, delivering on the marketing strategy, and managing their team to deliver excellent project results that raise Gibsons’ brand profile. Evolution PR, a specialist communications agency that creates and manages not just PR, but digital media, social media management, content creation, influencer engagement, and – should they be required – crisis communications, is looking to support its busy PR team with a dedicated Social Media Manager on a permanent basis from spring 2023.

The successful candidate will be managing numerous toy industry social accounts – working to a brief, planning, writing and scheduling Instagram and Facebook posts, and (to a lesser degree) TikTok posts. They will also be reporting and managing the social adverting budgets. Evolution’s new social media manager will have an extremely experienced team behind them to help with creation and planning.

Toy World Magazine is seeking an Editorial Assistant – online and print copywriter. We want to be able to take basic writing and subbing skills as a given and find someone with enthusiasm for getting their teeth into the toy/licensing industry – perhaps they’ve already worked in it in another role or have been looking for an industry they can really enjoy and feel passionate about (and who doesn’t love toys)? As a company that operates as a close-knit team, we also need flexibility, reliability and a willingness to learn quickly and adapt to whatever is needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading publication and website. As part of the extremely experienced Alakat Publishing team, the right person with the right attitude will be in a strong position to become an expert in the toy market and develop their career.
