SmartGames invites consumers to ‘Travel Smart’ this summer

Published on: 19th June 2023

SmartGames has unveiled three new games perfect for the travel season: Plug & Play Ball, IQ Twins and Pole Position.

The team at SmartGames, a worldwide leader in multi-level logic games, has unveiled three new and exciting games perfect for travel season. Plug & Play Ball, IQ Twins and Pole Position are sure to keep the whole family amused and occupied, whether they are on the beach, relaxing poolside, or in the garden.

Plug & Play Ball is the perfect fidget toy for captivating young minds and getting kids’ fingers tingling as they both puzzle and play. Suitable for ages six and over, players must try to fit all seven puzzle pieces on the ball. However, moving the small starting piece during the game will earn them a red card. This mini 3D puzzle game doubles as a fidget toy and needs no setup – just plug and play.

Players can take on double the challenge with IQ Twins: the puzzle pieces are two peas in a pod, but not two of a kind. Suitable for ages seven and over, players are challenged to fit 10 colourful puzzle pieces (five pairs of the same colour) on the board. This is where the game becomes a brain tease as the twins are not identical. One piece will only fit on the board at a 90° angle, while its twin requires 45°. Offering 120 challenges from easy to expert, IQ Twins promises hours of entertainment for the whole family and is perfect for a games night on a summers evening. The puzzle comes in a travel friendly case and does not take up a lot of room, making it ideal to take in a bag or suitcase.

Players can go for a spin with Pole Position. Suitable for ages seven and over, this magnetic game is set to be a hit among car lovers. Players are tested with 48 nail-biting challenges across six different tracks, as they try to find the correct positions for the racing cars. The game comes in a unique travel tin that functions as a game board, making it easy to play on a long journey.

As with all SmartGames products, the new launches have been designed with the company’s innovative mechanics to provide excitement and fun for hours while also helping young minds develop a range of cognitive skills including concentration, problem solving and spatial insight. The new games are a great solution for beating boredom whilst travelling and are a great form of entertainment whilst on holiday too.

Commenting on the new summer launches, Karen Clarke, UK brand director at Smart Toys and Games, said: “We are delighted to be launching three more exciting games in time for the summer holiday season. They make fantastic travel companions to take with you on your adventures and we are certain players of all ages will enjoy many hours of fun play with our new games.”
