PMI will spearhead the brand’s consumer products rollout with a range of playsets, figures and plush based on The Creature Cases for global retail launch from 2024.

Sony Pictures Television – Kids (SPT – Kids), formerly Silvergate Media, is proud to announce that leading toy manufacturer PMI is on board as global master toy partner for its animated animal detective series, The Creature Cases.

Chapter 3 of The Creature Cases launched on Netflix on 22nd May, shooting into the top 3 kids shows in the US, UK, France and other key global markets.

Rapidly growing and dynamic toy firm PMI has built a reputation as one of the leading toy manufacturers of gaming IP including Sonic Prime, Among Us and Tokido’s Piñata Smashlings, with a distribution network that spans 132 countries. The Creature Cases will mark PMI’s first master toy deal in the pre-school market following success as a toy licensee for Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and other leading pre-school shows. The firm is readying a comprehensive line of The Creature Cases playsets, figures and plush toys, which will debut at retail as part of a multi-territory launch from 2024.

The partnership follows the outstanding success of The Creature Cases’ broadcast debut in Spring 2022 when it ranked in Netflix’s global top 10. This popularity was quickly replicated in China where the show debuted on Tencent, becoming Tencent’s top children’s show, generating over 800m views in six months.

“We are thrilled to be announcing PMI as our master global toy partner for The Creature Cases. The company’s creativity is combined with an agile approach that makes it the perfect partner for this brand and we’re excited to be working with the team to bring the first toyline to fans across the globe,” said Ron Allen, EVP Commercial, Sony Pictures Television – Kids.

“The series has a great cast of animal characters and dynamic vehicles to inspire a compelling range of toys, and we’re confident that with PMI’s expertise, the toyline will capture the imagination of fans next year.”

“We’re honoured to be working with Sony Pictures Television – Kids to help kick off its global licensing adventure, bringing our favourite characters and the dynamic world of The Creature Cases to life,” added Omer Dekel, COO at PMI Kid’s World. “We’ve been bringing toys from the screen to the playroom for over 25 years and are so excited to bring the first range of The Creature Cases toys to fans of the show from 2024.”

The Creature Cases follows the adventures of detective duo, Sam Snow and Kit Casey as they work together to crack cases. Armed with top-secret intel from their miniature contacts, the Mice Squad, these animal sleuths travel a world populated exclusively by animals, solving animal mysteries that mix real zoological facts with wild detective action. The show’s award-winning animation studio, TeamTo, is in production on new episodes that will see brand-new content delivered from 2024.

Sony Pictures Television – Kids is a division of Sony Pictures Television focused on developing world-class children’s brands. The team’s productions include Octonauts: Above and Beyond, Peter Rabbit, Hilda, and new hit series SuperKitties for Disney Junior and Disney +.
