Stars come out for new Cry Babies series

Published on: 26th September 2023

IMC Toys celebrated the launch of its latest Cry Babies Stars series with a star-studded event attended by media, influencers and celebrities at the Soho Hotel in London.

Attendees included Vanessa Feltz, Heidi Range, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Childs and their families, plus influencers and press from top-tier national media and broadcast channels.

In keeping with the best-selling nurture and collectible doll ranges, guests were treated to an appearance by Cry Babies fan-favourite, Dreamy, character glitter tattoos and face paints, as well as the chance to play with all new Cry Babies, Cry Babies Magic Tears and BFF by Cry Babies dolls and playsets. Mobile role-play specialist, Little City, also provided a play corner for younger guests to interact with the dolls in ‘real-life’ situations, further cementing its new partnership with IMC Toys. There were numerous picture opportunities and guests enjoyed themed catering, goody bags and an exclusive content screening of new Cry Babies Magic Tears, and BFF animated episodes, yet to be aired.

“The event, which has been created and implemented by Playtime PR, was of impeccable timing,” said Kerry Tarrant, UK & Germany marketing manager, IMC Toys. “Cry Babies Newborn Coney is our most innovative nurture doll yet, and is already proving a hit with younger children. The latest Cry Babies Magic Tears Stars collection and content has launched in tandem with our third wave of BFF fashion dolls and second animated series celebrating talents and individuality. What better way to experience Cry Babies than with a VIP screening to showcase the newness and overall strength of the brand, as well as enjoy hands-on play and themed entertainment in such a vibrant location?”

The latest Cry Babies adventures can be seen on the official Kitoons YouTube channel, Netflix and Nick Jnr. Kitoons TV is also available across Smart TVs, mobile, tablets and the web, including interactive content, activities and the opportunity to learn about products related to the videos. These can be added to a Coppa-compliant wish list, for parents to place orders through purchase links.
