The first ever Toy World Spielwarenmesse preview supplement is out now

Published on: 8th January 2024

The first ever stand-alone supplement previewing the Spielwarenmesse toy fair is now available alongside the bumper January of Toy World, the UK’s leading toy trade magazine.

The Spielwarenmesse 2024 supplement is out now and available to read in print and online, as it starts landing on desks and doormats alongside the January issue of Toy World. A necessary step to prevent lawsuits arising from the sheer weight of the January issue, this dedicated 94-page supplement is the first of its kind for Toy World. It features an early preview from Spielwarenmesse exhibitors on what products they’ll be showing to visitors and why retailers and distributors should visit their stands, as well as a selection of profiles and special features.

Toy World’s editor, Rachael Simpson-Jones, caught up with cover-star Connetix’ CEO Brea Brand, discussing how Connetix is building on its current portfolio and how its appearance on the Q1 trade show circuit will boost brand awareness, following a very successful 2024.

Ahead of its return to Spielwarenmesse, Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. told Toy World about the new players in its accessible new starter set for the global best-selling Yu-Gi-Ohi!

Toy World also spoke with Mattel about its aim to target the Kidult market at Spielwarenmesse. Mattel is firm in its belief that play is for everyone, with no age cap on playing. The company wants to highlight this with its selection of ranges that will be on display at the fair. Mattel tells Toy World readers about the importance of this sector of the industry and how its latest launches that will keep fans of all ages engaged.

On top of all of this, the Nuremberg supplement features the latest news, touching base with Spielwarenmesse exhibitors and previews of the products that will be on exhibitor’s stands at the fair.

Wasting no time at all in the new year, the team is now working on the February issue of Toy World. This issue includes a preview of Birmingham’s Spring Fair, as well as a feature on the latest Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Toys.

The February issue will be published in time for the beginning of February, with an ad deadline of the 16th of January and an editorial deadline of this week.
