Very Puzzled expands distribution with Hamleys listing

Published on: 29th August 2023

Hamleys stocks an assortment of six unique SKUs from Very Puzzled: Africa, England, Ghana, India, Jamaica and Nigeria, both in-store and online.

Very Puzzled is managed by dad and daughter team, Patrick and Naima Adom, 11. The genesis of the company came about due to their frustration of not being able to find toys that were diverse and representative of Naima’s heritage and background. Patrick is an immigrant from Ghana in West Africa and was keen to ensure that Naima was aware of and could celebrate her heritage.

The company has announced a significant achievement in its journey of growth and recognition, with a range now stocked at the iconic Hamleys. This exciting development encompasses the inclusion of six unique SKUs: Africa, England, Ghana, India, Jamaica and Nigeria, within Hamleys. These unique products will not only grace the shelves of Hamleys’ brick-and-mortar stores but will also be available to a global audience through the retailer’s online platform.

“We are elated to share the news of our latest accomplishment – being stocked at Hamleys,” commented Patrick Adom, co-founder at Very Puzzled. “This achievement is a testament to the exceptional quality and appeal of our products, as well as the dedicated efforts of our team. We are humbled by the opportunity to partner with Hamleys and look forward to introducing our culturally rich puzzles to an even broader audience.”

This remarkable milestone underscores the continuous expansion of Very Puzzled’s retail presence. Hamleys adds to the impressive list of distinguished retailers that believe in the value Very Puzzled brings to the market, joining esteemed partners like John Lewis and Waterstones. As Very Puzzled moves forward, the company remains committed to further elevating its impact, aiming to establish a presence in other prominent retail destinations across the UK and the US.

With a focus on inclusivity and celebration of cultural heritage, Very Puzzled aims to provide retailers with a unique offering that resonates with customers from diverse backgrounds. The upcoming Black History Month (October), Diwali (November), and the festive period (December) offer prime opportunities for retailers to engage their audiences with Very Puzzled’s culturally significant puzzles. The company’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction promises a seamless collaboration that benefits retailers, customers and Very Puzzled alike.

Retailers interested in exploring the potential of adding Very Puzzled’s products to their inventory are encouraged to get in touch. For further information, inquiries, or to discuss partnership opportunities, contact Patrick Adom at jambo@verypuzzled.com or 07753 618757.

The company has been trading since 2017 and currently offers a range of over 30 products that continues to expand. Requests to create jigsaw puzzles for different places are always considered (the team has been commissioned to create a bespoke jigsaw puzzle for Airbnb and the Black Cultural Archives). Very Puzzled has appeared on Dragons Den and been featured by Forbes, BBC, ITV and other media outlets.
