Mattel chairman and CEO Ynon Kreiz met Will Ferrell, who recently played the Mattel CEO in the hit Barbie movie, at The Mattel Children’s Foundation.
On the 16th December, The Mattel Children’s Foundation partnered with the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), Ford Motors and LAFC part-owner Will Ferrell to provide an unforgettable holiday shopping event for deserving LA families.
50 children from LAFC’s football camp community visited the Mattel Holiday tent at Mattel HQ in El Segundo, each with a gift card from event sponsor, Ford Motors. In addition to the presents from the shopping sprees, each young soccer fan went home with Mattel Play it Forward Playkits full of toys and stocking fillers, including Soccer Barbie and Ken.
The LAFC Foundation furthers the football club’s mission of uniting the world’s city through the world’s game, bringing joy and being a force for good in the community by supporting critical programmes, while the Ford Motor Company Fund partners with community leaders and nonprofits to help meet the unique needs of under-resourced and underrepresented communities.
Mattel chairman and CEO Ynon Kreiz met Will Ferrell, who recently played the Mattel CEO in box office smash hit Barbie, at the event. After some initial confusion over who exactly was the real Mattel CEO, the two set their shared identity aside to celebrate the morning’s festivities and continued partnership between Mattel and LAFC.
