Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. (Konami) has announced it’s bringing the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG to Gamescom 2023, the world’s largest event for computer and video games.
This year’s Gamescom will take place from 23rd-27th August in Cologne, Germany. Throughout the event, fans can visit the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booth in Hall 5.2. At the booth, attendees will be able to Duel one another, whether they’re an experienced Duelist or otherwise. There will be promoters on hand to help demonstrate the game to newcomers, whatever their experience level, and more established Duelists can bring their own Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Decks to the booth and compete against fellow attendees.
Visitors can also bolster their collections with the latest Yu-Gi-Oh TCG products, take part in tournaments to win special prizes, and step into the Photo Box to see how they’d look like as part of the iconic Dark Magician card.
Further events taking place at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booth during Gamescom 2023 include:
- Rescue the Rabbit! – A new tournament format, introduced at this year’s German National Championship, participants compete against Special Duelists to offer a challenge to prospective rescuers. If they beat all three, they can enter a raffle win a Rescue Rabbit plush.
- 2 vs 2 Tag Duel – the first time this has been offered officially at a public fair; visitors can participate as two-person teams, with one duo Dueling another.
