Published on: 3rd September 2019

The latest issue of Toy World is available to view online now.

The September issue of Toy World, with its celebratory 75th anniversary cover featuring Mattel’s Thomas & Friends, contains comprehensive category features on playground crazes & pocket money collectibles, as well as the pre-Christmas TV advertising campaigns hitting the small screen in the coming weeks.

Lesley Singleton, co-founder of Board Game club and founder of Playtime PR, addresses the ‘Real meaning of Christmas in July’ in her Viewpoint column, while toy industry business and marketing strategist Simon Leslie, who has recently returned to the UK, details how his experience overseas has enhanced his knowledge and skill set.

We also caught up with Siso Toys UK’s Martin Whittaker and Mayur Pattni, to find out how things have been progressing since the launch of the UK operation last year and spoke to Menkind chief executive Paul Kraftman about the retailer’s appointment of its first ever managing director and the highlights of its toy offering.

In addition to the second instalment of our licensing survey, which details the how licensors and licensees can better work together to get licensing back on track, we also have a special feature with ToyVision’s Jonny Henton about the advantages and opportunities for manufacturers of moving production to India from the Far East.

On top of all this, we also have all the latest news, plus regular features Talking Shop, Allegedly, NPD Insight and Fresh.

Readers should also look out for our separate 60 page supplement, published alongside the September issue, which is dedicated to the Games & Puzzles sector.
