Igloo Books has signed a rights agreement to create a range of novelty children’s books and activity sets based on Turbo, DreamWorks Animation’s newest film.
All books are scheduled to hit the shelves in August 2013 ahead of the film launch in October. The books, aimed at children aged 3-7, will be produced in a multitude of interactive formats including pop-up, soundboard, mega sound, touch and feel, puppet and activity sets.
Rob Corney, director of licensing, Bulldog Licensing, stated: “We are delighted to be working with Igloo on this comprehensive range of Turbo novelty books. DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo is one of the anticipated family movies of 2013, and this exciting range offers something fun and unique for young fans of the movie.”
John Styring, CEO at Igloo Books, added: “We are thrilled to hold the UK licensing rights to Turbo. We can’t wait to bring the characters of Turbo and Chet to life in a range of exciting novelty books, and are eager to play our role in the film’s success. We look forward to working with Bulldog and DreamWorks to develop a range of brilliant, creative products for release in August.”
