BCE Carers Celebration Event

Carers will be recognised for their courageous work during this difficult period with the Carers Celebration Event, organised by the Bespoke Consultancy & Education (BCE).

The BCE is giving back to carers for the huge amount of help, support and hard work they have done over the last year. 150 nominations have already been put forward for this year’s event , which is due to take place online on the 4th December. All nominations will be recognised in some way, making them all winners.

Toys are a fantastic way to engage care home residents and people living at home who require extra care and support. There is even evidence showing that the use of dolls or plush toys can be particularly helpful for those living with dementia or living alone.

So far, the BCE has had an amazing response from the toy industry with donations from companies such as Ty and Ravensburger, while Merlin Entertainment has donated tickets for its Bear Grylls Adventure.

“It’s such an incredible contribution for such a worthy cause,” commented Alison Webber, director of BCE. “We are so happy with this industry for donating the amount they have, you can hardly move in our office!”

The event has seen over £500 worth of toys donated to date, all of which will go a long way to help reduce stress for carers, recognise all their hard work, and of course create some long-lasting enjoyable memories for the residents and their families.

There is still time to donate prizes to BCE. Anyone who would like to make a contribution to help support the carers and their Individuals, with items such as games, cards, fidget toys or plush animals, should contact Gavin.allen@bcelearn.co.uk or call 01275 876733.

Nominations can also still be made here.
