DKL Marketing appoints Import Services as logistics partner

Published on: 5th March 2019

Import Services will act as DKL’s logistics partner for the UK and Ireland markets.

Import Services will provide DKL with a complete port-centric service, high volume order processing, pick and packing, pre-retailing and distribution through the UK and Ireland.

The new partnership will see DKL import products from its seven award winning brands including Hama Beads, Plus-Plus Construction, PlayMais Craft, Scentco Scented Stationery, Breyer Model Horses, Bloco Construction and Escabbo Bath Toys, through Import Services Southampton-based warehouse operation.

“What attracted us to Import Services as a logistics partner was the many years of experience in the toy sector, the advantages of a port-centric distribution centre and an impressive integrated IT system,” commented DKL managing director, Kai Hawaleska. “It’s vital that we have clear visibility of our products’ movement; from leaving their point of origin to delivery, TRAC allows us to see 24/7 in real time the progress of our products, which is invaluable to our supply chain.”

Mike Thomas, client services director at Import Services, added: “I am thrilled to welcome DKL Marketing to an expanding portfolio of clients embracing our port-centric logistics model, which optimises supply chain to market. The Import Services partnership enables forward thinking companies, such as DKL to gain a business edge and align with the new world of retailing.”
